6 PM AKST WEDNESDAY...

* LOCATION...BALDWIN PENINSULA AND KOTZEBUE.

* COASTAL FLOODING...STORM SURGE AND TIDES WILL COMBINE TO RAISE 
  SEA LEVELS 4 TO 6 FEET ABOVE NORMAL. EXPECT ADDITIONAL WAVE 
  RUN UP ALONG EXPOSED COASTLINES. 

* TIMING...WINDS WILL INCREASE FROM THE SOUTHWEST TUESDAY 
  EVENING. WATER LEVELS WILL RISE TUESDAY EVENING AND REMAIN 
  HIGH THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE HIGHEST WATER LEVELS ARE 
  EXPECTED WEDNESDAY MORNING. 

* IMPACTS...THE STORM SURGE MAY DISPLACE THE YOUNG ICE IN 
  KOTZEBUE SOUND AND PUSH IT ONSHORE. MINOR FLOODING IN LOW AREA 
  EAST OF KOTZEBUE WHERE DOG YARDS HAVE BEEN IN THE PAST, AND 
  ALONG THE LAGOON ON THE SOUTH AND EAST SIDE OF KOTZEBUE. THIS 
  INCLUDES THE AREA NEAR THE TEACHERS HOUSING IN KOTZEBUE. 
  RESIDENTS SHOULD PREPARE BY MOVING VALUABLES WELL ABOVE THE 
  NORMAL HIGH TIDE LINE. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.

...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO
6 AM AKST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Travel will be very
  dangerous to impossible. Damage to power lines is possible. 
  Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches, with localized 
  amounts up to 10 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Baldwin Peninsula and Selawik Valley.

* WHEN...9 PM today to 6 AM Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 55 mph will 
  cause whiteout conditions in blowing snow. Significant 
  drifting of the snow is likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely dangerous.
