...RAINY AND COOL WEATHER THIS WEEKEND...

RAIN WILL MOVE OVER THE INTERIOR TONIGHT AND CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY
BEFORE TAPERING OFF FROM WEST TO EAST SUNDAY MORNING. RAINFALL
AMOUNTS UP TO ONE HALF INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA. 

A SECOND WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE SOUTHEAST INTERIOR
SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING BRINGING RAIN TO THE AREA. RAINFALL
AMOUNTS EAST AND SOUTH OF FAIRBANKS WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL ALSO BE
UP TO ONE HALF INCH WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS IN THE FORTYMILE
COUNTRY.

TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE AREA WILL CONTINUE TO FALL AS COLD AIR
FROM THE NORTHWEST SPREADS OVER THE AREA. LOWS SATURDAY MORNING
WILL BE IN THE MID 30S TO LOWER 40S WITH HIGHS ONLY REACHING THE
LOWER 50S. SUNDAY WILL BE EVEN COOLER WITH LOWS IN THE LOWER 30S
TO AROUND 40 AND HIGHS IN THE 40S TO AROUND 50.

WINDS WILL GENERALLY BE LIGHT IN THE VALLEYS...BUT WINDS OVER THE
HILLS WILL BE SOUTHWEST AT 5 TO 15 MPH.

THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR SOME FLURRIES OVER THE HILLS SUNDAY WITH
THE SECOND WEATHER SYSTEM...BUT NO SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL IS
EXPECTED THROUGH NEXT WEEK.
