...FIRST SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND...

THE FIRST SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL OF THE SEASON IS EXPECTED THIS
WEEKEND...MAINLY SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING. LOW
PRESSURE WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE NORTHERN GULF SAT NIGHT...THEN
MOVE SOUTHEAST ALONG THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN OUTER COAST SUNDAY
AND SUNDAY NIGHT. WITH AN ARCTIC AIRMASS IN PLACE...WARM AND MOIST 
AIR WILL OVERRUN IT AND CAUSE SNOW TO DEVELOP FROM THE WEST
SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING. AT THIS POINT...IT IS LOOKING
LIKE MOST OF THE AREA WILL SEE AT LEAST 4 INCHES OF SNOW...WITH
HEAVIER SNOWFALL AMOUNTS POSSIBLE ALONG THE JUNEAU TO ELFIN COVE
CORRIDOR...AND ALONG THE MORE EASTERN AREAS OF THE CENTRAL AND
SOUTHERN INNER CHANNELS SUCH AS PETERSBURG...WRANGELL...AND HYDER.
THIS SNOWFALL COULD MAKE TRAVEL ON THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND
POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS. STAY TUNED TO LATER FORECASTS FOR UPDATES
