MAY 2015 ENDED WITH A DAILY RECORD WARM MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 50 DEGREES AND A 
HIGH DAILY TEMPERATURE OF 71 DEGREES AS WELL. THE HIGH TEMPERATURE BROKE THROUGH 
THE 70 DEGREES MARK FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR. MAY 2015 WAS NEAR NORMAL THROUGH 
MOST OF THE MONTH...WITH THE LAST THREE DAYS PUSHING THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR 
THE MONTH ABOVE NORMAL AS THE TEMPERATURES CLIMBED 12 TO 18 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. 
THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 41.1 DEGREES WAS 4.3 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. 

PRECIPITATION IN NOME FOR THE MONTH OF MAY WAS ALSO ABOVE NORMAL...IN FACT IT WAS 
THE TENTH WETTEST MAY ON RECORD. THE TOTAL OF 1.49 INCHES WAS .63 INCHES ABOVE 
NORMAL...THOUGH STILL NEARLY AN INCH AND HALF BELOW THE MAY MONTHLY RECORD OF 2.95 
INCHES SET BACK IN 2004.
