THE MONTH OF APRIL FOR ANNETTE ISLAND, AK WAS A SLIGHTLY WARMER AND SIGNIFICANTLY
WETTER MONTH THAN AVERAGE. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS ALMOST A DEGREE AND A HALF
HIGHER THAN USUAL, HOWEVER THE AREA DID DROP TO FREEZING TWICE. RAINFALL WAS A
LITTLE OVER 5 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL LANDING THE AREA ON THE TOP 10 ALL TIME LIST FOR
MONTHLY TOTAL MEASURING IN AT 12.04 INCHES. THERE WAS NO SNOWFALL WHATSOEVER.
LASTLY, THE AREA WAS A LITTLE BREEZY COMING IN VERY CLOSE TO HIGHEST AVERAGE WIND
SPEED FOR THE MONTH ON RECORD. OVERALL, THE WARMING TREND IS STILL IN PLACE, BUT
STILL SLOWING DOWN AND CONTRAST TO THIS THE WET AND WINDY TREND HAS PICKED BACK UP.
