...HIGH WATER LEVELS ON AREA RIVERS DRAINING THE WOOD RIVER
MOUNTAINS THIS WEEK...

AREAS NORTH AND WEST OF DILLINGHAM HAVE BEEN IMPACTED WITH
PERSISTENT RAIN OVER THE PAST WEEK...WITH SOME AREAS RECEIVING AN
ESTIMATED 3 TO 4 INCHES. THIS HAS RESULTED IN STEADILY RISING
WATER LEVELS ON AREA RIVERS DRAINING THE WOOD RIVER
MOUNTAINS...SUCH AS THE NUYAKUK...NUSHAGAK...AND WOOD RIVERS.
CONTINUED SLOW RISING OF THESE RIVERS DRAINING THE WOOD-TIKCHIK
LAKE SYSTEM ARE LIKELY THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.

RESIDENTS AND RIVER USERS SHOULD ANTICIPATE HIGH WATER LEVELS
THROUGH THIS WEEK ON THE LARGER RIVERS DRAINING FROM THE WOOD
RIVER MOUNTAINS.

MAY BE SENT TO THE ALASKA-PACIFIC RIVER FORECAST CENTER BY
