VALDEZ WEATHER IS GOING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN WET AND DRY THIS WINTER
WITH A DRY FEBRUARY FOLLOWING THE WET JANUARY AND DRY DECEMBER.

THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS THE 4TH COLDEST WITH AN AVERAGE LOW OF 13.8 
DEGREES FOR THE MONTH. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS JUST BELOW NORMAL.

SNOWFALL WAS WELL BELOW AVERAGE WITH ONLY 13.4 INCHES. THERE HAVE ONLY BEEN
4 YEARS WITH LESS SNOW IN FEBRUARY. SNOWFALL FOR THE SEASON IS OVER FIVE
FEET BELOW NORMAL.

PRECIPITATION WAS ALSO VERY LOW WITH ONLY 0.78 INCHES; THE THIRD DRIEST ON 
RECORD BEHIND 2007 AND 1989. WITH THE HEAVY PRECIPITATION IN JANUARY THE
ANNUAL IS STILL 2.31 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL AS OF THE END OF THE MONTH.
